On March the 12th, HRH Crown Prince Haakon of Norway, visited Viking Development Group in Kristiansand. The Crown Prince was eager to learn more of the CraftEngine Technology, and its capacity for small scale electricity production and market potential.

He was received by Yngvar Hansen-Tangen, representing the majority owner, and was presented to staff and Directors of Viking Heat Engines AS. During his visit, the inventor of the CraftEngine, Harald Nes Rislå, gave an overview of the invention, the development stages and the performance capacity of the CraftEngine.

Director and Advisor, John Bernander, presented market strategy and commercial potential for such small scale distributed production of electricity, and how important partners were in verifying both technology and market potential. Bernander showed how partners such as B/E Aerospace, Inc in the US, Caterpillar Energy Solutions GmbH in Germany, Mitsui & Co Ltd in Japan, have all played a significant role, in allowing Viking Heat Engines to get the CraftEngine to the commercialization phase it now enters.

We are thankful and proud, to see that the Crown Prince recognizes our efforts, and grateful that he sets of time in his busy schedule, to learn more about the CraftEngine, says Yngvar Hansen-Tangen of the Viking Development Group.
