On March the 12th, HRH Crown
Prince Haakon of Norway,
Viking Development Group in Kristiansand. The Crown Prince was eager to learn
more of the CraftEngine Technology, and its capacity for small scale
electricity production and market potential.
He was received by Yngvar Hansen-Tangen, representing the majority owner,
and was presented to staff and Directors of Viking Heat Engines AS. During his
visit, the inventor of the CraftEngine, Harald Nes Rislå, gave an overview of
the invention, the development stages and the performance capacity of the
Director and Advisor, John Bernander, presented market strategy and
commercial potential for such small scale distributed production of electricity,
and how important partners were in verifying both technology and market
potential. Bernander showed how partners such as B/E Aerospace, Inc in the US,
Caterpillar Energy Solutions GmbH in Germany, Mitsui & Co Ltd in Japan,
have all played a significant role, in allowing Viking Heat Engines to get the
CraftEngine to the commercialization phase it now enters.
